I would like to share my Hyderabad visit which I undertook last year.It was in the month of May which is one of the hottest months of the year and especially unbearable in this city.I frankly recommend that all of you avoid going to this city in the summer months of the year as it is too hot and unpleasant for both adults and children if you are taking them along. The heat is very unbearable and best to be avoided as traveling becomes exhausting in this season.
I visited this place by reserving and boarding the train name “Kacheguda Express” from Bangalore City Station along with my family and relatives. It leaves evening hours and was a night journey and you reach Kacheguda Railway Station early next morning.
From Kacheguda you can either take a bus or arrange for Taxi/car to reach Hyderabad. You can also visit Secunderabad which is called the twin city of Hyderabad.
The SP road is one area in Secunderabad with a lot of Non-Veg hotels and the famous Tea stalls or small hotels with bakery’s and various other places to shop for.SP road is one of the longest roads here.
Also, don’t miss visiting the famous “Karachi Bakery” situated near Secunderabad for its rich flavored biscuits and savories of many delights and tastes.
In Hyderabad or the “City of Nizams” ruled earlier by Nizams, you can visit the famous Golconda Fort, the Salarjung Museum with its rich heritage of antiques.
The artificially created Hussain Sagar lake near Secunderabad with a big standing Buddha located in the center of it is an awesome sight.
You can see immersions of Ganesha Idols if you happen to visit this place during Ganesha Utsav.
You get to see a well-planned city with good roads and lot of flyovers in this already traffic congested city.
The famous Hyderabadi Biryani can be enjoyed at so many places and it is not that you have to visit only the star hotels to brunch/dine.
Also, there is a temple situated at a little distance near Osmansagar Lake dedicated to Lord Venkateshwara called the Chilkur Balaji or “Visa” Balaji, a good place to visit and pray, long queues but try to visit in the early morning hours to avoid the rush.
You can also visit the famous Ramoji Film City by paying which is one of the biggest film studios in the world. If you are lucky you can happen to see and meet your favorite actors and take autographs during breaks.
Check out my mini-clip video inside Ramoji Film City which happens at the beginning of the tour
Also find below some stunning pictures clicked inside Ramoji Film City
Hyderabad city with its people are really crazy about Telugu films and other languages and brings in a lot of revenue for the film industry.
The people are really friendly and courteous. They mainly speak Urdu, Telugu and English.
You also can shop for the Hyderabadi pearls and bangles which attract every woman and they would really treasure this memorable piece as memory.
I also like all to visit the famous Charminar which really charms you with its magnificent architectural structure of history.
There are also a lot of other places wherein you can do good shopping by bargaining and you will really feel the royal atmosphere by visiting this place.
For religious buffs, the Birla Mandir dedicated to Lord Balaji in the center of the city is worth visiting and you get to see unique white marble construction.
Also, you can take a look at the Chowmahalla and Falaknuma Palace for its history of Nizam dynasty.
Truly enchanting and memorable Hyderabad which is really unique from other cities.
Best time to visit Hyderabad From October to February when the climate is pleasant and manageable.
