It was a fantastic place to take a deep breath and enjoy daily ocean time during a lazy stay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Then, when my husband Walt and I were planning our October 10 year anniversary trip to Kauai, we decided to spend a couple of days in Oahu first. Or, you can take the scenic coastal route through <a href=\"https:\/\/maps.app.goo.gl\/D4MorFpKUpZPqfDEA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Waimanalo<\/a> if you&#8217;re heading to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thekailife.com\/kailua-beach\/\">Kailua<\/a>, which is one of my favorite drives on the island.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-what-s-nearby\">What\u2019s Nearby<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are a few of my favorite spots nearby Kaimana Beach Hotel:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Diamond Head Crater<\/strong> &#8211; Hike to the summit for panoramic views of the coastline. The trailhead is less than a 5-minute drive or walkable if you&#8217;re up for a longer stroll.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Beachfront Yoga<\/strong> &#8211; Kaimana hosts its own weekly yoga sessions &#8211; or catch a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.viator.com\/tours\/Oahu\/beach-yoga\/d672-25862P3?pid=P00213759&amp;mcid=42383&amp;medium=link&amp;campaign=yoga-under-the-palms-waikiki-beach-yoga\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">beachside yoga class in Waikiki<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/maps.app.goo.gl\/EeKxo1NsXNiEtYPcA\">Tom Moffatt Amphitheatre<\/a> \u2013 This open-air venue in Kapiolani Park hosts concerts and community events throughout the year.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Waikiki Beach<\/strong> &#8211; The main stretch of Waikiki Beach is just a short walk away. It\u2019s one of the most iconic beaches in Hawaii &#8211; lined with resorts, surfboard rentals, and a golden-hour scene that draws visitors and locals alike.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Sail or Parasail Along the Coast<\/strong> &#8211; Book a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.viator.com\/searchResults\/all?text=waikiki+sunset+sail&amp;pid=P00213759&amp;mcid=42383&amp;medium=link&amp;campaign=Waikiki-Sunset-Sail-Tours\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">sunset sailing tour<\/a><strong> <\/strong>or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.viator.com\/searchResults\/all?text=waikiki+parasail&amp;pid=P00213759&amp;mcid=42383&amp;medium=link&amp;campaign=Waikiki-Parasailing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">parasailing experience<\/a> for the chance to see Waikiki \u2014 and even Kaimana Beach Hotel \u2014 from the water. Service was prompt every time we needed the car. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There\u2019s also some public metered parking nearby &#8211; but if you&#8217;re planning to explore the island often, using the hotel\u2019s valet is definitely the most convenient option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rates are consistent with the area.  I always budget $50\/day (plus tips) when parking in Waikiki.
